Hydrega builds smart irrigation controllers designed to work without the cloud. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. It is a plain-language summary and a placeholder for our full legal policy.

Our privacy principles

  • Offline by default. Your controller runs your schedules on the device. Using our cloud is optional.
  • We never store your Wi-Fi credentials. They stay on the device, in its local storage, and are never sent to us.
  • Identity only, no inbox access. If you sign in with Google, we use it to confirm your email address and create your account — nothing more.

Information we collect

  • Account data (only if you create an account): your verified email address and a Hydrega user identifier.
  • Device data (only if you pair a device for remote control): a device identifier, its configuration and schedules, run history and status, so the app can show and control it from anywhere.
  • Technical data: basic logs needed to operate and secure the service (for example, connection events and error reports).

If you never create an account or pair a device, we hold no personal data about you.

How we use information

  • To relay commands and status between your apps and your controller.
  • To provide weather-based rain skip and solar reference data.
  • To secure your account and devices, and to fix problems.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers that host and secure the Hydrega cloud on our behalf, and where required by law.

Data retention

We keep account and device data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time, which removes your associated cloud data. Devices continue to work offline after deletion.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law (including the EU GDPR), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.
